BGMI was released as a rebranded version of PUBG Mobile. However, BGMI has been banned in India as of today.

Battleground Mobile India, often known as BGMI, has been prohibited in India. On Thursday, the game was deleted from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. BGMI was released last year as a new edition of PUBG Mobile in the country.

Chinese apps were banned in India in 2020 because they were deemed a security risk. This includes various apps such as PUBG, after which BGMI was released in India as a rehash of PUBG Mobile.

We will notify you as soon as we learn the cause for this; until then, please stay with us.

Why is BGMI banned in India?

Today, we learned from reliable sources that BGMI has been banned in India; no explanation for the suspension has been identified.

According to our information, the last time PUBG was banned, the reason was that PUBG was leaking all of the people’s data. So it could be something like this, but we can’t tell with certainty that it’s the reason for the BGMI restriction.

BGMI banned in Section 69A.

The Section 69A of the Information Technology Act (IT) is used to restrict access to any content in the interest of sovereignty and integrity of the country, security of the state, friendly relations with foreign states or public order. This is the same act that was used to order a ban on PUBG in September 2020. and now on BGMI in 2022.
